Young Learners (GRADE 1)

ScratchJr

Students are introduced to ScratchJr, a fun, free tool that uses a drag and drop interface, allowing young learners to build simple animations and video games as they learn programming principles and concepts.

Discovery (Grades 2-3)

Robotics with LEGO WeDo

This program for kids serves as an introduction to robotics. Children will build basic robots while learning some of the fundamental topics within science and technology. With LEGO WeDo, kids will learn programming, teamwork, time management, conflict resolution, building, and construction.

Robotics (Grades 4-6)

ROBOTICS WITH LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3

Kids are introduced to robotics in a fun and engaging format! Immerse your child in the world of LEGO robotics, where they will build EV3 robots while working as a team and learning about science, technology, engineering and math in a fun and engaging program.

Roblox & Minecraft Modding (Grades 3-6)

In our Roblox and Minecraft programs, kids learn how to use Java to control a Roblox or Minecraft server, build mods, and design game modes. They spend the classes coding before hopping on their servers to test their creations! Prior experience playing Roblox or Minecraft on a computer is recommended.

LEARN TO CODE (GRADES 4-6)

Intro to Python

Python is an easy to learn programming language. Students will be introduced to Python by creating an interactive game from scratch! This course is good for beginners as well as kids that want to continue reviewing their current coding knowledge.

Python Projects

Students focus on python projects that include graphical elements and delve into more complex mini programs that will set up the building blocks towards creating a classic video game in a graphical format! It is recommended that students interested in this course have taken an introductory level python course before.

Video Game Design (Grades 4-6)

INTRO TO VIDEO GAME DESIGN WITH UNITY

Students learn to create a simple video game in Unity where the basics of game objects, scripting and manipulation of in game components is taught using introductory video game design principles.

October 13 to February 23 | Saturdays 10:00 to 11:15 AM

VIDEO GAME PROJECT: TREASURE HUNT RPG

Students focus on developing a fully fledged game in Unity with instructor supervision. Students must have completed at least one video game course in Unity to enroll in this project-based course.

PHOTOSHOP AND STOP MOTION (GRADES 5+)

PHOTOSHOP PORTFOLIO PROJECTS

Students will learn design composition principles and bring their traditional art to life using Photoshop as a digital art tool. They will create art pieces that teach different design techniques by using specific Photoshop tools. Students will be provided with an Adobe Photoshop license for the duration of the program.

STOP MOTION WORKSHOPS

Students will be introduced to basic film production concepts including storyboarding, character development, staging, and post-production.
