Learn To Code FOR TEENS (Grades 7+)
Introductory programs on coding, scripting and debugging!
FOR NEW STUDENTS:
In these classes, students will be exposed to logic, coding, and testing principles! These courses are hands-on and good for beginners as well as students who want to review their current coding knowledge.
INTRO TO HTML & CSS | 10 CLASSES | $250 + HST
Students will learn to design and create their very own basic website using HTML and CSS front end programming languages! This course is hands-on and good for beginners as well as students who want to review their current web development knowledge.
Tuesdays 5:30 to 6:30 PM | October 15 to December 17
INTRO TO PYTHON | 10 CLASSES | $250 + HST
Python is an easy to learn programming language. Students will be introduced to Python by creating an interactive game from scratch! This course is good for beginners as well as teens that want to continue reviewing their current coding knowledge.
Tuesdays 5:30 to 6:30 PM | January 7 to March 10, 2020
PYTHON MINI GAMES | 10 CLASSES | $250 + HST
In this class, students focus on bringing 2D mini-games to life with simple graphics and code! This course teaches logical thinking and coding principles, while introducing students to video game design, programming structures, and debugging in Python!
Tuesdays 5:30 to 6:30 PM | March 31 to June 2, 2020
FOR RETURNING STUDENTS:
The following classes teach and review more coding practices, programming structures, frameworks, and some advanced principles.
Students must have taken an introductory level coding class or have prior coding knowledge in order to enrol in these classes.
THE BIG CODE REVIEW (HTML, CSS & PYTHON) | 10 CLASSES | $250 + HST
Students will review how to code and build a basic website using HTML & CSS front end programming. They will also review and be introduced to new logic and testing principles in Python. This course is hands-on and is a great way to refresh teens on their current coding knowledge while learning new concepts!
Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30 PM | October 17 to December 19
PYTHON CHALLENGES & HACKATHONS | 10 CLASSES | $250 + HST
In this class, students are encouraged to apply their current programming knowledge in team-based and independent coding and debugging challenges! This course is hands-on and allows students to practice building algorithms from scratch while being introduced to general application design.
Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30 PM | January 9 to March 12, 2020
Please note, classes do not run on the following dates:
February 16 / Family Day Weekend
March 11 - March 16 / March Break
April 19 - April 22 / Easter Weekend
May 18 - May 20 / Victoria Day Weekend
Regular classes resume after March Break on Monday, March 18, 2019.
