video game design (Grades 7+)

Students will learn how to use Unity3D, a video game engine that is game industry standard!

Teens are introduced to Unity,  a physics based engine which allows students to add objects and create mobility with special effects. We will provide the software and computers, but students are encouraged to bring a USB to class to save their projects!

INTRO TO VIDEO GAME DESIGN with Unity

Teenagers learn to create a simple video game in Unity where the basics of game objects, scripting and manipulation of in game components is taught using introductory video game design principles.

VIDEO GAME PROJECT: Treasure Hunt RPG

Students focus on developing a full fledged game in Unity with instructor supervision. Students must have completed at least one video game course in Unity to enroll in this project-based course.

October 13 to February 23
Saturdays 1:00 to 2:15 PM
