🎨🎮 3D Modelling with Blender

Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software tool used to create animated films, visual effects, art, and video game assets! In this course, students will learn how to create 3D models from scratch and also learn about creating textures for each model. Upon completing a model, students will learn how to set up a scene with custom lighting to render out and export their final images for their portfolios!

Recommended For: Kids (Grades 5-6), Teens (Grades 7+), Adults
Number of Classes per Session: 6 to 10 (60 minute classes only)

💻🎨 Code Your First Website with HTML & CSS

In these classes, students will learn how to use HTML and CSS to create their very first website! HTML is the markup language used by web developers to create the base structure of a web page, while CSS is a separate coding language used to change the appearance of the web page. Students will learn how to add HTML components, such as links, images, and text to their web pages, add style using CSS, and much more!

💻 Coding with Scratch

In this program, students will learn about computer basics while being introduced to the world of coding through Scratch, a drag-and-drop educational coding language! With Scratch, students will develop basic programming skills and learn creative thinking as they create interactive stories and mini-games – all while having fun!

🎮 Intro to 2D/3D Video Game Design with Unity

Unity is an industry standard, physics-based video game engine that allows students to add objects and create mobility with special effects! Students learn to create a simple 2D video game in Unity, where the basics of game objects, scripting and manipulation of in-game components are taught using introductory 2D video game design principles.

💻🎮 Intro to Coding with JavaScript

In this program, students will learn about the basics of coding with JavaScript through hands-on mini projects! JavaScript is a programming language that allows you to add complex features and interactions to web pages. JavaScript can be used to create web applications and is often integrated into HTML and CSS (the coding languages used to create web pages)!

🎨 Intro to Digital Design with Photoshop

In this course, students will bring their ideas to life through composition principles and design techniques! In addition to learning how to edit and create graphics in Adobe Photoshop, students will be introduced to Photoshop’s diverse tools, layers, and effects to create mini-projects throughout the course! Students will have access to one of our student Photoshop licenses for the duration of the program!

💻🎮 Minecraft Modding (Java Programming)

In our Minecraft Modding program, students will learn how to use Java to control a Minecraft server, build mods, and design game modes. They spend the classes coding before hopping on their servers to test their creations! Prior experience playing Minecraft on a computer is recommended. Students will require their own paid personal Minecraft (Java Edition) account to playtest their mods.

💻🎮 Programming with Python

In these classes, students focus on bringing 2D mini-games to life with simple graphics and code! This course teaches logical thinking and coding principles, while introducing students to video game design, programming structures, and debugging in Python!

Introductory programs for beginners and project class options available for more experienced students available!

Private Classes (1 student)
$65 + HST / 60-minute class

Semi-Private Classes (2-3 students)
$45 + HST / 60-minute class

Mini Group Classes (4-6 students)
$33 + HST / class

  • A computer or laptop

  • A mouse (required for video game design and Photoshop programs) – not a trackpad!

  • A second computer monitor or large screen (to view the live stream and connect via Zoom)

  • A microphone and headphones/earbuds

  • A reliable internet connection

PROVIDED SOFTWARE

  • Students will be provided with all required software for these courses, including any required student account licenses (i.e. Photoshop) for the duration of each program!
